AIRBUS TETRA base stations form the heart of a TETRA network
TB3 is a modular 1 to 8 carrier base station. The basic cabinet TB3 has a capacity of four carriers (4 to 16 channels). The number of carriers can be increased up to 8 carriers (32 channels) by means of an extension cabinet attached to the basic cabinet.
Diversity and high antenna gain
TB3 contains six receivers per carrier – compare this to the two or three offered by other base stations on the market. Using advanced diversity combining methods, this allows to build three virtual receive sectors. This means that the base station provides both diversity and high antenna gain.
Key functionality
-
There are 1-4 carriers in a basic cabinet and up to 8 carriers with extension cabinet.
-
There are four channels per carrier, one of which is reserved for the main control channel.
-
This means that the maximum number of traffic channels is 15 for the basic cabinet and 31 for the extension cabinet option.
-
TB3 works with standard terminals.
-
The air interface between terminals and TB3 base station meet the ETSI TETRA Air Interface standard.
-
Flexible topologies.
-
TB3 supports several different network transmission topologies with four 2 Mbit/s interfaces or native IP in use.
